Book a focused two-hour Zoom session for £85 and bring the WordPress problem that’s been sitting on your list. We can troubleshoot something that’s broken, work through an idea, look at how your site is built or show you how to do something yourself. You leave with answers and a clear idea of what to do next.
Line and Form is an independent Nottingham WordPress studio run by me, Leonie Winson. I work on new builds, but a lot of my work starts with an existing website and the words: ‘Can you make this work properly?’ I build custom WordPress websites, plugins and integrations, untangle existing sites and make sure you can manage the finished site yourself.
Sometimes the job is a small fix. Sometimes it’s custom functionality, an API integration or a plugin that needs to work around your business rather than the other way round. And sometimes the existing site has simply become so awkward that it needs untangling.
Based in Nottingham, I work with businesses that need a new WordPress website, custom development or practical help improving an existing site. I don’t assume a rebuild is the answer. The useful question is what needs to change to make the website work better for the people using it and the people managing it.
You might need a stubborn problem fixed, a site made easier to edit, a custom feature built, or an old system moved into WordPress. If you’re not sure what the right solution is yet, that’s fine too — working that out is part of the job.
Start with the problem. We can work out the WordPress bit from there.
If the site still represents the business but has become slow, awkward or difficult to update, a complete redesign may be unnecessary.
I can look at what’s already there, keep the bits that are doing their job and improve the parts that aren’t. That might mean rebuilding a troublesome section, simplifying Elementor, replacing an old theme, moving a static site into WordPress or sorting out years of accumulated plugins and workarounds.
The aim isn’t to sell you a new website. It’s to leave you with a better one.
Sometimes fixing the old site isn’t the right answer. If you’re starting from scratch, rebranding or your current website has simply reached the end of the road, I build complete WordPress websites too.
That means more than choosing a template and filling the boxes. We’ll work out what people need to know, what you need the website to do and how it fits into the rest of your business.
A new site can include:
I don’t promise to make a website magically rank in Google or appear in every AI answer. Nobody can. What I can do is build it properly, give search engines and AI tools clear information to work with, and make sure the site is genuinely useful to the people you’re trying to reach.
WordPress is flexible enough to do a lot, but that doesn’t mean every site needs more plugins or another off-the-shelf solution. I help work out what the site actually needs and build or fix the right bit.
Sometimes a theme or plugin gets you most of the way there. Sometimes it doesn’t. I build custom WordPress functionality, plugins and integrations when the website needs to connect to another system, automate a job or do something that isn’t available out of the box.
I don’t think you should need to call a developer every time you want to change a sentence or add a page. The sites I build are designed to be manageable. And if an existing site has become confusing, I can simplify it and show you how it works. Training and handover are part of making the technology useful, not an afterthought.
